CRAZY
I was eating at a fast food place in Sac w/ Sean and one of his ROTC buddies, when I hear two bursts of gun shots maybe 50 yards away in the parking lot. That's right, gun shots, 50 yards away. I'm like, WTF, and Sean tells me to get down. After the shooting stops, Sean and his buddy go to the window, while I, being the smart person that I am, stayed near the table AWAY from the window. About ten minutes later, the police came and we gave our statements.
Ok, I was raised around guns (mainly rifles), which is why I knew that those were REAL guns being fired. The reason why I knew that those were handguns firing is because they were higher-pitched and much faster than rifle shots would have been. Anyway, I saw the bullet casings when giving my statement, and they were from a friggin .45 caliber gun!
Nobody got hit, which is a miracle, since the gunmen didn't know how to shoot properly (at least according to Sean's ROTC buddy, who saw one of the guys shooting). There were a ton of bystanders, too. One guy got the license plate of the getaway car, so they'll be caught soon enough. Thank God.
Anyway, I hope I don't have to go try to ID any of the guys. I didn't really see any of them enough to be sure. Other people saw a lot more than I did, so I probably won't be needed.
