my toilet had a bit of a leak, which i attributed to old parts. I replaced all of the old parts in the toilet with new parts, turned on the water--and discovered the true source of the leak. Which had gotten bigger. it was the hose that attaches to the wall and supplies the toilet with water. because it's an old house, it's darn near impossible to replace the hose without replacing the whole water switch on the wall, which i have no clue how to do, so i have to make the house decent enough for a plumber to show up To Charge Me More Money Than I Want To Spend AND I'M SICK AND TIRED OF THE WHOLE THING! THAT'S MY ONLY TOILET IN THE WHOLE HOUSE AND THIS WHOLE THING STINKS!!! I CANT FLUSH THE DARN TOILET! (insert expletive here)
