Didn't make it

This week I tried out for the next show due to go up at my school. I did well, I made callbacks, but I ended up not making it. Luckily, the girl who did get the part I wanted is a good friend of mine, and I know she can pull off the part. The only time it's really depressing to lose out on a part is when the person who got it instead isn't very good. That's almost like a slap in the face, really. However, I did my best, she did her best, and I simply did not get the part because the director wanted a her style rather than mine. The fact that two of the men he cast are decidedly shorter than me probably had something to do with it, as well.
