Weird Week

All right, just so y'all know, I fainted at a load-in on Tues. You know how when you hit your funny bone, you get all dizzy? Well, I hit my knuckle, and got so dizzy I fainted. Fun, hmm? But I'm all right. I just hope they hire me again. Dangit, why couldn't I have fainted LATER, when they would know that I don't normally faint? Now they probably think I'm a liability to hire. Oh, well, at least I got some Christmas money. I'm not sure if such heavy work is good for me, anyway. *Sigh

Well, the good part of that is that Sean came down to see me after school and made sure I was all right; he also drove me to and from the load-out that evening. It was downtown, and no one felt very comfortable about me driving there on my own. It wasn't the driving they were worried about, it was the walking from my car to the theatre. So, with Sean there, my mom didn't have to drive me.

For Thanksgiving we were planning on going to both Sean's parents' place and my brother-in-law's parents' place, and just have two Thanksgiving dinners. The reason for this is that this might have been both Sean's grandfather's and my brother-in-law's stepfather's last thanksgiving. Well, I found out wednesday that my brother-in-law's stepfather died on Tuesday night of cancer. Sean never knew him, so we ended up just going to Sean's. *Sigh

Thanksgiving was fun, and I got sleepy. I'm glad Sean and I didn't have to drive from heck to breakfast, even if the reason was a bit morbid. Sean helped me this year with making my (in)famous candied sweet potatoes, which turned out great. I cook those every year; it is my contribution to Thanksgiving. I got the recipe from my mom, and she made some changes in it from the traditional candied yams, so y'all can only get it from me (if you want the recipe, just ask--i would make a horrible magician, the way i give out secrets like that).
