Sorry I'm late...

I'm sure you've all been anxiously awaiting the results of that awards show I went to. Well, I didn't win, but that's ok, 'cause Beauty and the Beast ended up winning that category. In case you don't know, B and the B is one of those REALLY difficult technical shows, and if I was going to lose, I'd rather it be to a show where they really had to work to get it right. Anyway, my school walked away with the third most Elly awards of everyone! It was pretty awesome, and John won THREE awards! Pretty darn cool. I hope to post pictures at some point. Don't hold your breath.

Also, we performed well in our Urinetown song.

New Shoes

Ok, in case you didn't hear, Urinetown got nominated Best Musical in the Elly Awards (the Sacramento area version of the Tony Awards). Because of this, a group of us from Urinetown are going to perform one of the numbers from Urinetown (Snuff that Girl). I don't do much, I just sit in a chair and act scared, but that's ok, I still get to be there. A lot of us from the show got nominated for awards, as well, like the girl who played Little Sally got nominated for Best Supporting Actress in a Musical. I didn't get nominated, but that's fine, 'cause my co-lighting design got us nominated for best lighting. The Ellys are next weekend, and I've been trying to figure out what to wear after I get out of my Urinetown costume and into the audience. I've finally decided to wear this silvery dress I got at a consignment shop years ago, but never got a chance to wear. Unfortunately, I didn't have shoes for it, so I took some friends shoe shopping with me today. I found some gorgeous, silver, lace-up wedges that are surprisingly comfortable, seeing as they're about four inches high. The best part? I can completely change the look of the shoe by changing the ribbons that lace the shoe up! It'll be awesome!

Jadus

Jadus is the name of my new car. I am not telling you what kind it is (looking out for the robbers and lions, you know), but it's still a really cool car. My mom and I had fun getting it transferred to our names, though. Turns out that the guy who owned it last wrote a bad check to the DMV, and they were still chasing him down. So, basically, we sat at the DMV for an hour-and-a-half while everything got sorted out. Luckily, everything did get sorted out, though I did swear to post about this adventure so that the story could get back to the guy who sold it to me.
