HOLY CRAP!!!

There's this national competition called the Kennedy Center American College Theatre Festival (KCACTF). My director entered our rendition of Twelfth Night into the competition, and those nominated get to go to Utah to compete for the two spots open for the Kennedy Center finals in Washington, DC. Twelfth Night itself is essentially nominated to be nominated, and we won't find out until December if it's really going; some of the people got honorable mentions, like our sound guy and our dancers. Three of our actors got nominated to go to Utah: the guy who played Orsino, the guy who played Aguecheek, and ME. I was so shaken when I heard the news! I need to prepare two scenes and a monologue, so if anyone has any favorites that include someone of my physical type, please tell me about them. I'll be conducting my own search, but every little bit helps. Thanks!

SOOO busy...

Starting second weekend of plays tomorrow, and i've been busy as heck, what with the plays and trying to clean the havok my house has become since I've been so busy with the play. You know, it's hard to keep things clean when you're exhausted. Sean graciously agreed to help me clean yesterday, and we made decent headway on the kitchen.

You know, if I were smart, I would probably rest during my free time instead of clean. Instead, I exhaust myself more, and still feel like I'm making very little headway. I'm glad I started with the kitchen, though. It at least looks 10x better, though I'm not even close to done.

Opening Night!!!

Opening night for Twelfth Night is 2 weeks from yesterday! Holy Crap!

It's funny. The first anniversary on a Saturday for Sean and me is this coming weekend, but it's in the middle of "hell week," which in layman's terms is the 2 weeks before opening night where there's rehearsal every single day, as opposed to getting Fridays and Saturdays off, like normal. We start running thru each half on Monday; I hope I have all my lines! ;) j/k, I've been running my lines like a fiend for pretty much every day.

I'm hanging out in Sac with Sean today; we've been having fun just being lazy.

I'm still feeling weird about the whole house-demolishing-thing. Thank goodness I'm with Sean.
