Hello Again

I have tomorrow off (Thursday), thanks to Caesar Chavez's birthday. Why they didn't just give us Friday for the three-day weekend is beyond me. Oh well. It's going to be nice to sleep in, anyway. Anyone care to bet how many people will take a four day weekend? :)

Winchester Mystery House

Went there today! It was hecka fun, but I forgot my purse in the cafe there and had to go back and get it. Luckily we had only gone back to the car to get sunblock. I felt really sheepish after I went and got it because they had called my name over the intercom, but I was just like, wow, someone else has my stage name... my name is long, so it covers two lines of my driver's license, so they called my first and second middle name. That combo is going to be my stage name for when I'm totally famous and all. :)

Cast Party

I went to a cast party last night at Aaron's for Man of La Mancha; it was fun. I got very little sleep and ended up staying over, but I felt very awake driving home at 11 am. I'm just very sleepy now, especially since it's after track. But it's worth it, I had a lot of fun.

I've decided I'm gonna build a nest-egg for myself with whatever jobs I can get. Being a theater major, I can't depend on all the money I'll be making later. Also, I need to replenish my book money. That has been seriously depleted by this year, as well as that stupid car that I never got to drive. Oh well.

And I've decided IT'S RAINING MEN! OH HALLELUJAH!

Don't ask me why. I've just decided that.

Changing Faces

I didn't get the Musical Director job. Oh, well, hopefully the movie thing won't fall through.

Audition

I did well at that audition yesterday, all I did was tell them about myself (they were really pleased that I came from Delta), and it was over in maybe half an hour. I noticed I was one of the better-looking/dressed people out there, so I think I have a good chance of getting called back.

Much Ado About Nothing

Contrary to popular belief, I'M NORMAL! I got an electro-cardiogram and an echo-cardiogram today, and Dr. Winkle says that the oddness of my ekg is a normal variance in a person my age. YAY!!!

Appointment

I go to the cardiologist tomorrow. I'll tell you what happens later.

Possible summer job

I'm applying to be Musical Director/Choreographer with the summer theater I've been involved with for a couple years now. It would pay $1000 for the summer, and I think I'm VERY highly qualified for the job. If I think my choreography skills may need a little work, no matter, the choreography is a small part of this play anyway. It's gonna be another rendition of A Pirate's Tale, rewritten by Michael Vinyard. If I don't get that job, I've also applied for the Assistant Stage Manager/Props for the show, which would pay half as much, but which I'm also pretty qualified for, seeing as I've grown up around historical weaponry and such. This play is set in the late 18th century, I believe.

Wow

I'm actually home before 3 pm. Wow. I'm torn whether to go to this party I was invited to, or to this play at my high school, or just work on homework and sleep. I don't know. I could go to the play tomorrow, but I'm not really in a party mood. Whatever. I think I'll go take a nap soon.

My costuming teacher got a few of us together today and took our headshots for us for free. She took a ton of pictures and she's gonna give me a cd of my pictures, so it'll be cool if there are good shots in there. Her sister is involved with a casting company, so she needs headshots of prospective workers. I'm thinking about trying out for an independant movie next saturday, and that's through that company. I need to find out if I can get to Sonoma, though, and if I would be able to get there during the summer if I were to be cast. Who knows?
